LH is a registered public trust that exists to contribute to Malawi’s national response to HIV as a model providing a continuum of high-quality care while building capacity in the health sector. Since 2004, PIH and LH have been working alongside each other in supporting the MoH’s HIV and TB programming through placement of HCW in various facilities in Lilongwe and beyond. PIH and LH have also contributed significantly to Malawi’s HIV program body of knowledge through implementation Science and various research agendas that have informed the national response. Since 2021, PIH and LH trust have formed the CORE of the HIV drug resistance management network in Malawi; the two implementers also collaborate on managing the HIV comorbidities ECHO session taking place weekly.
